Mike will use a fireside chat format, facilitated by Syd Weinstein to provide an overview of Directors and Officers, Errors and Omissions and Professional Liability insurance, what they cover, and why knowing the differences are important to Directors and Advisors.
Michael Colonnello is a Vice President for CBIZ Insurance Services, Inc. His primary responsibilities are new business development & the retention of key accounts within his ever growing book of clientele. Mike manages a book of business that is situated in the Mid-Atlantic Region between our Plymouth Meeting, PA and Columbia, MD offices, but has clients throughout the world & across the United States. He is licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance across 42 states.
Mike has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, working for major carriers and top Mid-Atlantic brokerages before joining CBIZ in 2011. In his current role with CBIZ, Mike serves as a consultant and specialist in the placement of coverage for the construction, technology, health care, real estate, manufacturing, retail, education, & non-profit sectors. In his spare time, Mike loves to be with his wife, two daughters, and on the golf course, when he has time. In 2020, Mike was recognized as a Top 40 under 40 award recipient by MontCo.Today, an online publication reaching over 100K readers a day.
Syd Weinstein is a board level executive who takes both the helicopter view of business goals and the supporting role of technology, He has advised many companies on growing their SaaS businesses including pricing structures, product road map, development strategies, security, and customer experience. Expansive experience in linking technology to overall business strategy, operations, and people. Sees the total picture across all corporate functions and the interdependency of operations, finance, technology, marketing, sales and how to harmonize their contribution to a goal. He is the ultimate puzzle master who takes apart a problem and puts the parts together to solve it efficiently and cleanly with nothing wasted or left over. Syd is a strategic planner with a deep history of engineering solutions to complex technology and operational issues that are obstacles to growth and efficiency. He has an Engineer’s sense of ethics and fairness and seeks neither advantage nor credit over others. Works to one standard: “right” and be “right” for customers, the company, and shareholders. Syd has incorporated several nonprofits, including ELAB, and currently sits on the boards of Near Miss Management, ELAB, and the Delaware Valley Tesla Owners Group and sits on the advisory board of Prelude Solutions. He is an advisor to several companies in the logistics and software spaces.
