Mr. Van Horn is a highly experienced Advisor/Coach in the areas of Organization and Human Resources Development. His strong expertise is further focused in the area of supporting an organization’s  Succession Planning with concentration on strengthening the identification, assessment, development and retention and/or recruitment of key executive talent.  His HR career has spanned over 27 years internally in Corporations followed by 16 years in external consulting and coaching. His consulting and coaching has helped organizations in developing and planning Succession through strengthening Executive assessment, performance management and incentives. Jim has also contributed in these key areas in both For-Profit and Non-Profit Board experiences. Internally, Jim spent 22 years (1978 – 2000) at Unisys Corp (including Sperry Univac) advancing to the Corp. Director, Performance Management. He played the key role in designing and driving a CEO mandate in performance management execution and talent assessment processes utilized in the company.   This role followed extensive global experiences including living and working in Canada as the Head of HR. Following Unisys, Jim was the EVP HR, Foamex International (2000-2003) and SVP School District of Philadelphia (2004). In addition to the leadership of the HR functions at Foamex and the School District, Jim’s individual emphasis was on Executive Development.  Jim’s undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Temple University. He completed additional post graduate seminar work in Executive Coaching at the University of Pennsylvania.
