Ed Ferrara was CSL Behring’s first Chief Information Security Officer, a $10B global biopharmaceutical company. In this role, Ed was the senior-level executive responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision and strategy of the company’s cybersecurity program for corporate and manufacturing systems.

Before coming to CSL, Ed’s background was in information security consulting, leading a global cybersecurity consulting practice for financial services, commercial, and chemical clients. He is an expert in designing and delivering cost-effective, high-performance information security solutions, methodology, and standards to address complex business and security problems.
Certifications and Other Accomplishments
Ed holds a US patent in software engineering, using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and software patterns. In addition, Ed has the CISSP certification. Ed holds two master’s degrees in educational technology and computer science from the University of Delaware and Information Assurance from Norwich University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Franklin & Marshall College.
