The War for Talent: Human Capital continues to be the essential ingredient for success in every organization. Business leaders know that top talent has many options, and it is critical to attract experienced revenue generators, talented C-Suite leaders and highly skilled Directors to help navigate the future.
In addition to today’s challenging business climate, the pandemic has created an environment where employees are thoroughly in control and the demand for top talent is extremely competitive. The “new normal” of business will shine an even brighter light on CEOs, Boards of Directors, and leadership teams, and their ability to adapt to this challenging and rapidly evolving talent climate.
Alan J. Kaplan is the Founder and CEO of Kaplan Partners, a retained executive search and board advisory firm headquartered in Philadelphia. Since the firm’s founding in 1994, Kaplan Partners has provided Boards of Directors and CEOs with advice on the dynamics of CEO and Board succession, and assistance with the identification, assessment and selection of new CEOs, Directors and senior executives. He has over thirty years of talent assessment and executive search experience, after an initial career in corporate banking with two leading Philadelphia institutions. Alan has successfully led over 100 CEO/Succession projects, and hundreds of Board and C-Suite consulting, assessment and executive search assignments.
Alan holds an Economics degree from Penn State University, and an MBA in Finance from Temple University. Alan is a National Association of Corporate Directors Certified Director and Board Leadership Fellow and sits on the Board of Directors of NACD Philadelphia. Alan also currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Fischer-Shain Center for Financial Services of the Temple University Fox School of Business, and Clarifi, an organization promoting lifelong financial resilience.
